Fozzie Bears (5 and 1) v BWU Bushwhackers (2 wins 2 losses and 2 defaults) Kado was present in full Fozzie attire but not playing for what would be a tough challenge against the Bushwhackers. Big Dog captains in his first game of the season ably supported by his sparring partner The Gentleman J. Kirkpatrick and font of cricket wisdom Rick. Our second game at Barrington Park on a grassy green wicket 110 will be a good score. The Bushwhackers are good bunch lads with not a player over 25 years of age. They are good for saving 20 runs in the field and turning singles into twos where no other team

Fozzie Bears (4 and 1) v Halswell Placeme (1 and 4). Halswell 3A, grass wicket. In predictable fashion Halswell rolled in late and what was supposed to be a 5:30pm twilight start for a Thursday Show Weekend Game didn't start till 6:00pm. Kado wins the toss (3 from 6) and elects to bat. The out field and pitch are presented in immaculate condition. However a sticky pitch with tennis ball bounce coupled with a very tidy and tight bowling effort from Halswell restricted the Bears to a less than stellar 95 for 6. Davey the Postman opening the bat for the first time this year posted a tidy 23 and F

Fozzie Bears (4 and 0) v Saints Super Swingers (1 and 3). Polo 4 Disappointingly for a derby match we found ourselves playing on a rubber ducky Polo 4. Whoever makes these decisions needs a word. Despite the Swingers early season results they have had the wood on the Fozzies in the recent past and today was to prove no different with the swingers emerging with a 7 run win after a tight run chase. Kado lost the toss (2 from 5) and the Swingers elected to bat first. Fielding a few new faces the Swingers came out quick and set a respectable 155/5. A less than ordinary runout decision early on cou

Fozzie Bears v Riccarton Hoggs Fozzie Bears 3 from 3. Riccarton Hogs 3 from 3. Top of the table clash. Game four of the season and our third game on a grass wicket Barrington Park 2. A green top. Kado won the toss (2 from 4) and chose to go with our strength and bat first. The Bears posted a sound 148/5. Kado 33 (17) recorded his first dismissal of the season, caught attempting to hit his fourth 6 of the over. He has a tidy average of 203. Rick 46 (38) and Switchy 23 (21) are yet to post averages. Extras 23. It was a quick turn around between innings by the Fozzies with the expected Southerly

Saints won the toss and put MP into bat on a Edgar Mac track with good bounce but plenty of sideways movement after a few hours of rain on Friday. The opening bowlers took the edge of the bat several times before one finally went to hand, and outstanding diving one-hander in the slips by Flav. Seven catches later and some tight bowling saw us restrict them to 133. We were feeling confident, though carefully watching the dark clouds that had been forming all day. It quickly became clear that the MP attack were going to be a greater threat than the weather. We were 28-3 after 17 overs, but slowl
