Cavaliers Twenty20 Men Fozzies v Sydenham Cardinals
Fozzie Bears v Sydenham Cardinals. Fozzies Bears 2 from 2. Sydenham Cardinals 0 from 2. Game three of the season and second game on a grass pitch (Centennial 2) we faced the Cardinals. Historically a lot of interesting dialogue. The recent past has seen The Bears have the wood on the Cardinals. Kado won his first toss (1 from 3), and on a less than even pitch we chose to bat. The wicket proved interesting playing pretty straight and even down the middle and two paced off line. After a less than exciting start Kado 84 and Switchy 43 carried the Fozzies to a respectable 149/6. Opening the attack

President's Grade Men v Lancaster Park
by Mark Hampton
Played at Lancaster Park. Most in the team had watched a lot of cricket here in their youth, but it was the first time playing on the hallowed ground. Not quite the same without the stands and crowds, and a poor quality pitch. We won the toss and chose to field, bowling them out in the last over for 131. Wellsy and Mantis beat the bat regularly but couldn't get wickets, and it was until Potty and Flav came on that the game turned in our favour. Six wickets between them, with Potty having player of the days stats of 8 overs 4 for 7. Norm and Rich M had tidy spells to close out the innings. We l

President's Grade Men v Old Boys Collegians
by Mark Hampton
Played at Hagley 2, with much difficultly in gale force winds. OBC won the toss and batted, scoring 204/7 off 40 overs. A great effort by the bowlers to contain a strong batting side, with only one wide bowled under very testing conditions. Difficult day in the field with a few dropped catches. It was a very gettable total, but early wickets saw us limp through to 143/9 off their 40 overs. Player of the day Brad Smith.

Cavaliers Twenty20 Men Fozzies v Southern Districts Misfits
The Fozzie Bears roll into the 23/24 season in good spirits. An Aikmans pre season debrief established this year's themes. 1. Plenty of chat. 2. Fines are back in fashion. 3. Get the WAGS involved. Opening game session 1. We are playing SD Misfits (an interesting scoring system). Grass wicket pretty lifeless. Captain Kados loses the first toss of the season (apparently not a fine) and we are bowling. Ground conditions are good. Overhead conditions are hazardous with high winds. Everyone wants to bowl from one end. After 20 overs SD Misfits make 151/7. ‘Lambchop’ 1 for 27 and ‘Arthur’ 4 for 20
