New Brighton CC 77 all out lost to St Albans BBBBs 79/6
Another tough day for the batsmen at Garrick Park on a track with “variable bounce”. Congrats to the three batsmen that made it to double figures: Mark Ashby (35) for NBCC, and Saints openers Murray Griffin (28) and Barry Cox (12). The bowlers still had to put it in the right place, and who would expect anything else from Scott Mason (4/24), ably supported by Brad Hill (3/28) for Saints. Mark Ashby (2/20) completed a fine all-round performance for NBCC, while Caleb Saunderson picked up (3/21). Special mention to the keepers White and Mercer who between them only let three deliveries past for byes under very difficult conditions.
