We were pleased to win the toss and put Sydenham Hospital in to bat on a Woolston Park wicket offering some assistance. Eagle (4-13) was the pick of the bowlers, with Jimmy, Muzza, Gibby and Matt Kamstra (on debut) all helping to restrict the total. Iggs took three good catches, two of which had been skied high towards nervous fielders who were very relieved to hear Iggs running towards them shouting "mine". Our batsmen had one eye on the dark clouds and another on the divots in the pitch, but in the end were comfortable in reaching the total three down with more than 10 overs to spare. All those dismissed made solid contributions (Hampo 51, Iggs 25 and Gibby 23), with Mantis 31 not out at the end.
