St's met LP at Garrick Park. Won the toss and asked Park to bat first. McBride & Mongia put on 41 in 10 overs before Eagle removed McBride for 15. Corry joined Mongia and combined for a 53 run partnership before Tim fall for 30 off Potty (94/2). From there no real partnerships happened and Park ended with 169/8. Potty 2/22, Norm 2/25, Eagle 2/30 & Flav 2/35.
In reply we were 18/2 after 5 (Baz 14 and Jimmy 0) before Gibby and Mantis shared an 83 run partnership to steady the ship. Gibby out for a well made 44 (101/3) which brought Franko to the crease for a debut knock. The pair put on 63, Mantis bringing up a well complied 50 before falling for 58 (164/4), Franko and G seeing us home with 8 balls to spare, Franko 35*. Wayne Derham bowled 8 on the trot for 1/12 being the stand out for Park and wanted it noted that Park kept us in the game until just on 6pm, apparently a first for the season.
Another good game of cricket and a great to be back on the park after 5 or so weeks without having a game.
Cheers Potty
