It was an early start for SBW's this week with a 12pm game against Heathcote up in the Valley. If you thought it was hot on the flat, it was nothing compared to the lingering heat that settles on the Heathcote Domain. We were fairly happy with the bowling, keeping the Vixens to 117 runs, an achievable total. It did take a few moments for everyone to recover from Chris having a hard fall in the field after her foot went in a hole, leaving her ankle in a very sore state. The batting began and we lost a few wickets early on with Anna and Bondi falling victim to some on point bowling opening and Tanja being caught for 10. Then Julz and Nic started to build up a decent partnership and hopes were high. As is usually the way with Heathcote, it came down to the wire and this time we could't do it. Julz was the star of the day, finishing on 38 runs.
