Fozzies 107 for 7 lost to Syd Cardinals 108 for 2 after 13 overs
Player of the day John Stewart 0 for 11 off 3 and top score with 20 runs
Cannot take anything away from the OPPO this week, they bowled well and restricted Fozzies to 107. Their batting was equally superior, they were never put under pressure and comfortably made the target of 108 with time to spare.
Was the game jinxed...Whiting forgot the scorebook!!
There were starts, promising signs from the top order but no one could capitalize on their start and able to go on. Stewart played some great shots and top scored with 20.
107 after 20 for 7.
As I said last week. Catches win matches. Truely it was like we were trying to catch overfilled water balloons. The only positive this week will be McClean, Whiting, Cameron and ?..contributions to fines. I can't remember who dropped the last one, I think we've all wanted to forget the rout, we were completely annihilated. There were few positives, Stewart economic bowling, and the cold beer after the game.
