Short and sweet was the name of the game today. We won the toss and elected to bowl first. Good option as it turned out as we bowled them all out by the 14th over for 34 runs, 11 of them being extras! Highlights were Jo’s 2-12 off 5 and my own 1-3 along with a beauty of a run out from square. Our fielding was pretty top notch once again today with two catches, 3 run outs and buggar all getting past us.
After pulling some teeth to get volunteers to open, Liz and Keesha put their hands up. It was Keesha’s debut with the bat. She faced a solid 10 balls until no there was some minor miscommunication and Liz ran her out for 2. There is some solid potential there though so we are looking forward to her next go with the bat. Chris came in the support Liz as she found the boundary and finished off the game, ending up on 20* and Chris on 9*.
Another W for us with Heathcote still to come next week.
