Royals vs Diamonds.
The arrived at St Albans Primary on a overcast breezy morning to find the game already set up by the Royals coach. (Top Job)
After a bit of practice and banter the captains went in for the toss, and was won by the Royals who decided to bowl first.
With the match underway, Stella and Amelia opening the charge for the Diamonds, they started off well getting a few early free hits from the Royals and taking advantage of this scoring some boundaries early. After the openers were done the Royals kept the pressure on bowling keeping the middle order working hard for ones and twos. There was a nice pull shot from Chloe off side for a boundary, towards the tail of the order a nice wkt from Mahi and 2 wkts from Tayla finishing off the first innings off.
After a drinks, snack, toilet break, theRoyals took the field to bat and the Diamonds to bowl.
The Royals started out well with Sophia getting a boundary early. The opening bowlers started to restrict the batters with Amelia taking a wicket in the 2nd over. After that the bowling from the Diamonds was stating to really make it hard for the Royals to score, with good line and length not giving away any free hits. There were some amazing fielding with runouts from Violet and a huge throw runout from Sasha, Katie continued the bowling with a runout and a wicket. The Royals finshed off the batting with a great boundary from Tayla and Isabella having a standout first over with a wicket and a runout on the first two balls.
