St Albans BBBB’s 234/2 beat Ohoka Originals 108
Saints won the toss and batted first on a hard and bouncy Mandeville track. Plenty of early movement made it difficult for the opening pair, but Gibby (73) and Hampo (95) managed to survive and put on 169 for the first wicket. The heat meant both appeared relieved at eventually being dismissed, leaving Baz (34*) and Flav (18*) to finish the innings.
Eagle (2-24) and Muzza (2-18) shared four wickets in the first 10 overs of the Ohoka innings, with Mantis (2-15) and Norm (3-18) preventing any lower order heroics. A lot of rehydration was required (and enjoyed) by all at the end of the day.
