We were fortunate to win the toss on an awful Centennial Park pitch, and restricted a strong Sydenham batting line-up to 68/9 off their 40 overs. As might be expected there were some excellent bowling figures, with wickets shared around. Gibby and Hampo got off to a strong start with a partnership of 33 off 8 overs, but when Gibby went the next four batsmen could only manage one run between them and at 40/5 there were a few nerves. Wellsy steadied the ship but didn't survive to the end, but Hampo batted through and hit the winning runs.
