St's 236/4 beat MP Gold 107.
Pickle away with Covid so only a short report this week. I asked Richie if he wanted to bat or bowl, bowl it was. 2 early wickets to Dearsley had us at 19/2. Norm (promoted to open because Jimmy was late) hit a nice 51 and put on 80 with Mantis before he was bowled by Campbell (96/3). RJ joined Mantis and after getting his eye in the fireworks started. In 15 overs the pair put on 122, Mantis out for a well played 83, RJ 75*, we finished on 236. Dearlsey the best with 2/25 off his 8.
Humey and Dearsley opened with a stand of 20 before Mantis removed Paul. RJ came into the attack and was a handful for all, ripping the middle order out, ending with 4/19 off his 8. Stand in captain Eagle (Potty testing for his replacement) then spread the bowling round, Daygo taking 2/15, Hampo working on his all round status by taking 1, along with Norm & Potty. MP all out 107.
Beers on the sideline while watching the St Prem men pull off a great win against Burnside, a good way to end the season.
Thanks to all the teams in the grade for another brilliant season of Presidents grade cricket, shame the weather didn't allow everyone to play all teams.
Winter well everyone and see you all in October.
Cheers Potty
