Opening day

The opening day of the 2010/11 season for the St Albans Cricket Club will be held this coming Saturday, September 25, at the club grounds and pavilion from 1.30pm.

We are fairly confident that the practice areas will NOT be available, so we are asking current members and friends to arrive at about 2.30pm and be with us for the official opening at 3.15pm. Enjoy a bite to eat and a cup of tea/coffee or a cold drink, if you prefer.

Come and watch the Premier men take on our annual guests, Hutt District from Wellington, in the 'Embers' warm-up match on Hagley Oval (starting at 10am).

To those of you who have not yet signed up for this season please pop along and sign a registration form. Alternatively, sign up on this web site and register, either indicating that you are keen to play again or to just be a social member.

The club needs more players right across the board - adult men and women, secondary schoolgirls, junior boys and girls from age four upwards.

Tell your friends, bring a mate and play this summer for the mighty Saints. Teams are entered into official CCA competitions on the basis of who has registered at the start of the season and who we know is playing.

The opening day is on WET or FINE. Hope to see you all - young and old - at the pavilion on Saturday. If you can't make it, ring the club pavilion on (03) 366 4905.
