We all showed at Barrington Park on a gloriously sunny day. What looked like on paper a game with 9 was in reality a full side albeit only for our batting innings. Grimace briefly showed.
We chose to bat and Mustard & Joel kicked us off at a brisk rate. Everything was looking good until the drinks break, which wasn't the 20th over, it was the 18th. When the 20th over actually arrived the wheels started to fall off with a quick succession of wickets, one of whom being Jono who was caught when it looked like he'd cleared the field.
Patrick, Antonio & Andrew briefly showed some promise to get us some more much needed runs but were nipped in the bud by some accurate bowling. Craig foreshadowed (literally) his dismissal with a classy dance down the wicket to be unfortunately stumped by the keeper.
We then went out to field where Reuben & Patrick opened up and got enough swing to interest everyone. But while we did our best to defend the total but we weren't able to make regular inroads.
