St Albans Diamonds vs Halswell Honeybees
On a warm overcast morning the Honeybees won the toss and elected to bowl first. With Violet and Isabella opening the batting, the honeybees startred out with a lot of dot balls until Violet got hold of a slower delivery and belted it for 4. The honeybees continued there dominant bowling restricting the runs for the diamonds, until Sasha managed to belt a couple of 4's.The middle order was pretty dominated with only getting a handful of singles. The last partnership for the diamonds came out , but the honeybees bowling was just to strong with a a couple of wickets and runouts leaving the Diamonds a bit deflated.
After a drink and something to eat, with a team chat to boost morale. The diamonds bowling starting off well with alot of dot and singles balls bowled in everyones first over. The honeybees started to pick up the pace with 2's and a few 4's. Then there was a great catch from Stella C in the outfield which would have def gone for 4.The diamonds started to restrict the run rate a little at the end with few runouts and singles.
