St's met Syd Hospital on Sydenham 2. The pitch was solid with good bounce, the outfield had been cut but the groundsman forgot to put the catcher on the mower. Won the toss and asked Hospital to bat. Wellsy and Eagle bowled well in the first 10, Syd 2/26 after 10. The score moved onto 53/2 with Eugene batting well. Mantis was bowling well without luck to this point, his figures reading 0-21 at the start of his 4th over, when he finished his spell he had taken 5/28, his maiden five bag. 72/4 turned into 81 all out, Gibby taking 3/2 to end the innings.
Into bat with Ralphie and Baz. 17/1 (Ralphie out for 10), 48/2 (Baz for 32) and Gibby (21*) and Rich (17*) seeing us home with 18 overs to spare.
As always a good game against the Hospital lads, well done to Eugene for a well hit 52. A couple of beers to finish the day and then off to our awesome sponsor Moon Under Water.
Cheers Potty
