We won the toss and chose to bat on a cracking deck, but lost 3 early wickets to the new ball. Fred came in at No. 5 and belted a brilliant 28-ball 62 to turn our fortunes around. With the pitch starting to take turn suddenly a total of 200-odd was going to be highly competitive, and so it turned out as some great late-overs hitting by Joe (3 sixes in a quick-fire 28*) got us to 202/9. We bowled and fielded like demons and twice bowlers were on hat-tricks. The contest was effectively over by the halfway mark, eventually bowling them out for 138 to secure a crucial bonus point. Player of the Day: Joe (28* & 3-14 off 6.2 overs).
