On Monday of this week your committee was privileged to enjoy the company of the full CCA board at a hastily-arranged meeting. It has been many years since such a group of luminaries have graced the pavilion.
A very robust and full discussion was held over the areas that the club needs to tick off to ensure our first XI men's team play Premier cricket next year, as well as an update and question-and-answer session on the Hagley Oval development. Suffice to say that both groups had plenty of searching questions for the other party.
We are committed to ensuring that the club will achieve what we need to do to keep a Premier men's side at the club and are confident that the hurdles will be jumped with ease.
With regard the ground development, it is the CCA's objective to be digging out and building the three new wicket blocks as early as March/April next year (2011).
